MYTH 1: All People experience stress the same way
This is untrue. Stress is different for everybody. What one person finds stress another will not. We each respond to stress in a different ways and some can handle more stress than others.
MYTH 2: All stress is bad for you.
This is absolutely NOT TRUE! We NEED STRESS in our lives!!
There are three kinds of stress:
MYTH 3: Feeling Stress is out of our control
Unmanaged stress makes us feel out of control; we do not have to feel this way. If we get to the root cause of our stress, gain awareness of how it is impacting our lives we can then make the necessary changes in our body, mind-set, relationships, and well-being to regain our sense of control.
MYTH 4: Traditional Stress management approaches are best to reduce feeling of stress.
Most traditional approaches are quick fixes and are contradictory. The best approach for stress management is realizing the root cause of your stress and resolving it. Stress often comes from the places we are not looking and we spend a lot of time and energy trying to manage it from the wrong areas of our lives.
To help overachievers get to the root cause of what is stressing them out I have created the STRESS to SUCCESS FRAMEWORK.
This four-quadrant framework explores the root cause of your stress from the body, mind-set, relationships, and well-being.
I am a lifelong overachiever who discovered that my own internal critical voice was stressing me out and keeping me from achieving success. Once I shut that negative BEOCH up I began to thrive! Success came to me more easily and I began to prosper.
I believe you need to get to the root cause of your stress. You need to re-evaluate the traditional approaches of reducing your stress and make a change.
Let me ask you a couple of questions…
I did all that and still felt stressed. I needed to get to the root cause of my stress, when I did I started to manage my stress from that area of my life- The Mindset Area.
Only then did I start to feel the positive results. When you have an internal critic, nagging at you all the time there is not enough exercise, alcohol, food, or meditation that will help reduce your stress.
I have worked with many overachievers helping them to discover the root cause of their stress; I do this by using my Stress to Success Framework. The process of the framework allows you to evaluate and explore four key areas of your life and discover the root cause of your stress.
I am known for re-energizing client’s bodies, shifting mindsets, recharging relationships, and improving well-being and happiness, in both life and business.
